SPRING-SUMMER
COLLECTION 2006
…..Batik!
Not only exibited in her show room, the batiks are
the right starting for the taylored ethno-emotions
signed
by Giuliana Cella for the spring summer 2006.
Looking to the East…The creator’s compass heads to
Asia this time , toward the south –east lands between Giava and Sumatra.
It is the thin and elegant Indonesian girl which defines with her
silhouette the line of the collection with shapes that barely caress the
body , very precious fabrics and tailored manifactoring typical of the
maison .Again , lace blouse jackets combined with tapered sarongs ,
flessuous skirts made with antique batiks or by taking the same patterns
with precious embroideries ; the traditional pareo-skirts become shorter
this season , like mini-skits , or get longer in an unexpected burst of
romantic silk , shantung and crinoline.
Here comes the Sumatra silk for the blouses cut like
capes with micro ceramics painted in the colors
of dust and spices, and for the little sun dress in
sophisticated floral prints on fading tones with shoulder strips made of
silk petals for the summer evenings.
Up to the most precious pieces , the micro ethno
blazer for the evening , the small boleros like powder puff made with
little tufts crocheted in silk , to wear on crystal dresses and on
copper or silver filigree .
